Zhandong Xu receives the B.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 2012 and 2021 respectively. He served as a visiting researcher at King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) in 2019, and as a postdoctoral fellow at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2022.

He is currently an assistant professor with the School of Transportation and Logistics, Southwest Jiaotong University. His research interests encompass network modeling and simulation, large-scale optimization algorithms, and control optimization by machine learning.
